Message from the Board

The Stettler Hospice Society was formed in February of 2018 with a lofty dream of a stand alone hospice care facility that would serve Stettler and area including families east to the Saskatchewan border. With compassion and empathy in their hearts, Felicity Bauman and Nancy Bauman started our community on this journey and have been joined by countless others who have either experienced a loss or simply have a desire to give heartfelt care experienced to families on an 'End of Life' journey. It is our goal to offer enhanced end-of-life services to the terminally ill at no cost to the family. It is because of your generous support in the past that we are very close to opening our suite, and are just in the process of adding the equipment and furnishings that will make the hospice "feel" like home. Going forward, it will still be necessary for us to continue to rely on community support including legacy funding to meet the ongoing operating costs the hospice will incur. To this date, we have been overwhelmed by the support we have seen so far through both volunteers and monetary and gift-in-kind contributions.
